Template text for the demonstration site. A privacy policy must be reviewed against the operator’s actual processing before publication.

Who we are

Kingstanding Taxis Ltd, trading as Kingstanding Taxis, is the data controller for the personal data described in this policy. You can contact us at hello@kingstandingtaxis.co.uk or on 0121 496 0123.

What we collect

When you book, we collect your name, telephone number, pick-up and destination addresses, and any notes you give us about the journey. If you book online we also collect your email address. Account customers additionally provide company details for invoicing.

Why we use it

We use your data to provide the taxi service you have asked for, to send you booking confirmations and driver details by text, to invoice account customers, and to meet our obligations as a licensed private hire operator, which include keeping a record of every booking. The lawful basis is the performance of a contract with you and our legal obligations under private hire licensing law.

How long we keep it

Booking records are kept for the period required by our licensing authority, Birmingham City Council, and then deleted. Account invoicing records are kept for six years for tax purposes.

Who we share it with

Your pick-up details are shared with the driver allocated to your journey. We use a booking and dispatch system supplied by a third party that processes data on our behalf under contract. We do not sell your data.

Cookies

This website sets only the cookies needed for it to work, and analytics cookies if you consent to them through the cookie banner. You can change your choice at any time.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you have the right to access the data we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, and to object to or restrict how we use it. Contact us at hello@kingstandingtaxis.co.uk. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
